Nutmeg PWD Club successfully hosted its first AKC Obedience Trial on Sunday, May 1 at Tails-U-Win in Manchester, CT. We offered beginner Novice through Utility B as well as Preferred for Open and Utility.

We had 55 dogs with a total entry of 66, five were PWDs. Karen Wrey did the judging honors and it was a pleasure showing to her. Doreen Palmer was our Chief Steward and all-around mentor for making the day run as smoothly as it did. PWD owners were well represented among the steward volunteers: Sue Robinson, Patrice Latrell, Cathy Abbruzzese, Nancy Triou and Kim Holden. Thank you, ladies!

Kim Holden and her girl, Pearl, aka Saltydawg Jewel Of The Deep Blue Sea, had a beautiful test and not only earned their CD title but also earned High Scoring PWD from the Novice Classes. Well done, Kim and Pearl!
