On Saturday, Sept. 11 and Sunday, Sept. 12, Nutmeg held its Water Trial at a new site (Eagle Rock Day Camp in Washington, CT). We enjoyed fabulous weather, and we had a record number of volunteers to help with stewarding, meal prep, all around water trial "chores", and breaking down the site at the end of the day. Nutmeg wares and water equipment were *hot* items at our sale table, and Saturday ended with a great dinner!
Nutmeg was honored to have Karen Pratt from Texas as our Judge. Judging 15 Apprentice dogs on Saturday, and 13 on Sunday, along with all the other trial levels, was a testament to both her stamina and good humor! She was fair, empathic, and offered helpful training tips to many handlers.
It was great to be with PWD peeps and to once again enjoy all of the excitement that a PWD trial can offer. Thank you to all of you, and there were many, who helped make Nutmeg's water trial a success!
Let's hear it for all the teams who came out and
gave it their best!
